Following the closure of the Kunstraum, the Depot was built using the same elements that had been employed for the Kunstraum. The Depot is primarily a venue for cultural programs; this fact made it necessary to re-structure the individual building components. All of the Kunstraum’s furniture was also reused – in some instances in adapted form and arranged for new functions.
