Daegu Gosan Public Library

The functions of the new library are stacked like a deck of books.
The outcome is a striking and perceptible structure, with its specified position on the site becoming a solitaire in the park
The characteristic shape of the building is the result of reasonable lightning: closed to direct sunlight facing the sky, transparent to the ground.
The levels themselves are additionally structured by big daylight tubes, producing individual spatial atmospheres on each level.
Open split level staircases connect all levels - also visually and allow flexible interactions between the levels.
